The 5th Lava Division strike team had been given a simple enough of an assignment - Niix, and the team had found it odd they used that designation in the briefing - had broken into the arbiritum. They were to stall until the COs could arrive. Not defeat him - no normal Blakken had stood against him and lived. But they figured, if they could ambush him, if they could catch him off-guard and in a bad position...they might just be able to beat him, or at least survive.
Of course, they weren't expecting him to have a beam sword...to say nothing of a pink one. I mean, seriously, who uses a pink sword?
...I guess him. o.o Anyway, here's this...thing. I started with Niix, th' wolf in the center there, as a pose...he kinda just grew off the stick figure I made, and from there a whole scene kind of sprung up around him. Made plenty of mistakes here [that blakken swinging what is in fact a sort of magma-sword at him looks like he has no arms - they are in fact obscured by Niix. >>;...actually, wait. I just didn't add them where I should've...he really doesn't have any arms...he has floating hands I guess? o_o;], and that hand...eh. >>; The one hes handstanding on...s'on backwards. ._. I originally drew it that way before the rest of the pic really came out, and it looked good for a backwards hand, at the time....now it just looks like a deficient...head...octopus.
Deficent head octopus for a hand. Anatomically speaking I can actually twist my arm like that. >>; Not very comfortable though, and I doubt I could...handstand on it. XD;;; But, you know. Niix is a freak, like all my characters really.
I left the backdrop pencil'd - give it a sense of fading, I think. There's a blakken in the background, you might notice - see that thing bouncing off of Niix's right shoe? S'a bullet - he blocked it with his foot. o.o The blakken in the background was supposed to be firing it, but it...didn't come out so well. cc; Alot in this pic didn't come out so well, but I'll leave that up to others to judge, I think.
Anyway, comment as you will. ^_^;
[And I know - lazy background. >>; It was the last thing I did, plus I hate coloring that much. <__< Eheh.]
how?! XD you have like no confidence in yourself, yet you go and pull off a picture like this that is not only neat in the 2-dimensional sense, but decent and accurate in the three-dimensional sense--that is, there's a great sense of depth here, since you've got different things happening at different distances, and interacting with one another. excellent work, there. n-n
and the hand's not too bad. just use it for like...learning ^^
XD that pose is cool and dynamic, especially for you...altho your stuff always was quite expressive whether you realize that or not. i love the looks on the blakkens--the clothing and poses and expressions are all great XD especially the one in the background. great posing, too, not only on Niix but also the magmaken that he's after
you may not have the best graphics processing ability in the world, but i tell ya, you can really compute some excellent scenes. nn there's so much happening here at once, and it's all interconnected quite elegantly.
I...kinda just made Niix's pose....put some body and details onto it...and it came out looking good, so I just wrapped the rest of the scene around 'im. XP Thats how. Glad ya like, though. XD;;;

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
